Features
For optimal performance, it is recommended to operate your Traverse scooter on hard surfaces. While the scooter can navigate dry grass safely, it is advised to avoid driving on dirt, sand, or slippery surfaces, as these may potentially harm the scooter components.
Traverse scooters are designed to be water-tight but not entirely waterproof. To clean the chair, use a clean damp cloth, avoiding water hoses and direct water exposure to the electrical components. Please refrain from driving through water puddles or exposing the scooter to rain, as such actions can damage the electrical components (any damage due to rain use is the owner's responsibility). The cushions are made of small cell foam and might collect water if soaked; if this happens, remove the cushions and allow them to air dry.
Yes, the intelligent electromagnetic brakes come with brake levers that can be switched to Manual Mode, allowing manual propulsion of the scooter. Switching to Electric Mode enables driving using electric power. The intelligent electromagnetic brake is located at the rear of the scooter near the motor.
Absolutely. The armrests on all Traverse scooters are designed to be raised, facilitating easy entry and enabling the scooter to be positioned closer to tables or desks. Each chair's armrest has a specific release mechanism for lifting. For detailed instructions on raising the armrest of your specific scooter, consult the corresponding owner's manual.
Yes, Traverse scooters are intentionally designed to fold or separate compactly, fitting seamlessly into the trunk of a small car. No trailer hitch car transport adaptor is needed. We recommend verifying your car trunk's size in relation to the folded or separated dimensions of the specific Traverse scooter model.
Battery
Upon receiving your battery, an initial 10-hour charge is recommended straight out of the packaging. The battery is pre-charged at the factory before shipping. After the initial charge, a depleted battery can be fully recharged in approximately 6 hours. To ensure optimal battery health, maintaining an 80% charge level is recommended. A full 10-hour charge is safe, as the Battery Management System prevents overcharging by cutting off current flow once all cells are fully charged.
Our GlidePro model features a lead acid battery, while our GlideFlex model comes equipped with a lithium-ion battery.
Charge the battery by attaching the 3-prong adapter to the battery.
Order and Shipping
Shipping is free for all scooter models to destinations within the contiguous 48 US states. (Excludes Hawaii and Alaska).
Your order will be processed and shipped within 48 hours. Once your order is placed and a shipping label is generated, you will receive tracking information.
Maintenance
Regularly check and tighten any loose bolts or screws to ensure the scooter's stability and safety. Keep the scooter clean by wiping it with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents that could damage the scooter's finish.
Yes, the tires can be replaced when they wear out. Refer to the owner's manual for guidance on proper tire replacement procedures and recommended tire types.
If you encounter any issues with your scooter, consult the troubleshooting section in the owner's manual. If the problem persists, reach out to our customer support for assistance.
Safety
While not mandatory, wearing protective gear such as a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads is strongly recommended to ensure your safety while riding the scooter.
Refer to the specifications in the owner's manual for the scooter's maximum weight capacity. Exceeding this limit could affect the scooter's performance and safety.
Yes, the scooter is equipped with lights for nighttime visibility. However, make sure to follow local laws and regulations regarding scooter usage at night.
